Wireless Coverage Areas
Expansion of coverage is limited by funding. UTS continues to make expansion of wireless access a priority within current funding allotments. Areas eligible for available University funding are as follows (out of scope areas may also gain coverage if departmental or project funding is provided to do so):
- in scope - public student gathering areas where there's seating or work space, such as building lobbies, libraries, lounges
- out of scope - classrooms
- out of scope - administrative office areas, departmental grad. student, faculty & staff offices
In addition, it is necessary to allocate funds for wireless infrastructure currency as an equally high budget priority to additional coverage.
