  • Student online drop & add

Student Scholarships, Financial Aid, Admissions and Residence

  • Implemented new feed into Admissions System for Mohawk & Conestoga Colleges as part of the Nursing Consortium
  • Implemented Course Equivalency for processing new High School Reform courses
  • New Student Financial Aid (OSAP) Processing
  • Implementation of the Scholarship Eligibility Code on Admissions
  • New Auto-adjudication process for Honor Awards
  • Enhanced On-line Admission Average Calculations
  • Extensive changes to Admission Offer Letters for double cohort year
  • Enhanced OTPT Extract file to contain the Grade Point Average
  • New Export - Finance Interface for Residence and Meal charges
  • New cleanup process on Admissions for students that never registered

Business Management Services

  • Resurrected automatic update of FRS from salary increases of any source (including MUSA monthly, TMG, Faculty and lump sum payments (saves many staff hours in the budget office)
  • Ad hoc reporting for Doug Bergen (external auditor); facilitates gov't remittances that Doug makes on behalf of the university resulting in > $100,000's of refunds
  • Support negotiating process for different bargaining units
  • Created mid-month labour distribution reporting in Oracle; eliminates need to have separate files created for Health Sciences
  • New Online Purchase Order Requisition System
  • Student T4A's from Accts Receivable System
  • Accts Receivable System enhancements
  • FEDEX interface changes
  • Automation of Late Fees
  • New Bookstore System integration
  • Automation of Trust Fund Summary

Human Resources

  • Implemented MUSA step increase; this running very smooth without much intervention from Compensation, CIS or Payroll
  • Ad hoc reporting to support pension surplus
  • Support pa and par calcs
  • Gave input to HRIS team for RFP process

Infrastructure (common/shared systems such as UP, dbms)

  • Mainframe (MVS) based Student Web applications using Neon
  • Assignment of barcodes to new student admits
  • Assignment of barcodes to employees for new staff cards
  • Elimination of VS COBOL
