Student Alumni Programs
Mission to Mac
The Mission To Mac program has been an alumni program for over ten years and every year our attendance numbers keep growing and growing. This is a great opportunity for incoming students to meet your future classmates, friends, and maybe even your roommate, right in your hometown. So come and check it out – it will be time well spent!
Life after MAC
Starting your career is an exciting climax to your education experience. This program offers students and young alumni an opportunity to come together and learn valuable "soft" skills that are not taught in the classroom! The Life After Mac Series is a great opportunity for students and young alumni to network with experts and develop skills for guaranteed success in the workplace.
Alumni Field Photos
Every year during Welcome Week, the Alumni Association takes a group photo of the first year class. We're uploading photos of previous years and should have them available on Flickr soon.
Student Events and Activities
The Student Relations Committee is a student-run committee that works with the McMaster Alumni Association to promote pride and spirit across the Campus. This Committee works year round to organize a variety of events and activities to enhance the university experience including Homecoming, Frost Week, Disorientation Week, Student Leader dinners and much more.
Convocation Kit
Did you recently graduate? Check out our Convocation Kit and learn about all the benefits the McMaster Alumni Association has to offer our alumni.
Senior Class Gift
The Senior Class Gift is a student-lead project that encourages graduating students to make a financial contribution to McMaster in their final year of study, in addition to educating students about the importance of alumni support and the impact it has on the university. In making a gift, students leave their mark on McMaster by contributing to an important faculty or department project, while honouring those who made their experience great.

Mac10Intellectual
“Learning, for fun.” The First Friday Speaker Series is a touring monthly event that features engaging speakers who tackle issues of interest to young alumni in a social setting.
Mac10Professional
“Support for the next step.” Our year–round schedule of events and workshops, delivered in person and broadcast live online, is designed to support alumni who are actively seeking work or exploring career options.
Alumni Career Coach
Our alumni career coach works with recent graduates to help them identify careers they’ll love and assist with getting them. Through one-on-one coaching, they work with alumni who have graduated within the last five years on career exploration, networking, interview skills, resumes and more. For more information visit Career Services.
Alumni Career Services
Career Services and the McMaster Alumni Association are pleased to offer career services to Alumni from all Faculties for up to five years after Convocation. All alumni, regardless of graduation year, have access to networking opportunities, the Career Services resource area and an extensive collection of online resources.
Job Search Essentials e–course – NEW!
We are pleased to offer a new Job Search Essentials e–course for our alumni who cannot access career services on campus. Job Search Essentials is a 4–week e–course offered monthly through the Avenue to Learn platform, which allows you to complete coursework when it is convenient for you, wherever you are in the world. You can expect to spend about 10 hours per week learning and applying search strategies while connecting with other alumni and the Alumni Career Coach through discussions and assignments. Topics covered by Job Search Essentials include: researching employers, resumes & cover letters, using social media in your search, networking, and interview preparation.
To register, login to OSCARplus using your MacID, select events and Job Search Essentials. Registration is limited to 15 per month. Questions should be directed to Catherine Maybrey, the Alumni Career Coach, at maybrecr@mcmaster.ca
