McMaster Alumni Association Awards
McMaster University’s alumni and students are making remarkable contributions to the world. The McMaster Alumni Association is proud to recognize the remarkable individuals who demonstrate the exceptional things that can be accomplished with a McMaster education. The achievements of alumni and students are honoured through prestigious awards conferred upon those who have proved themselves leaders, innovators, contributors, builders and global citizens. We welcome you to nominate an outstanding McMaster alumnus whose personal and professional successes merit recognition.
The Alumni Gallery
A McMaster tradition, the Alumni Gallery Award is the most prestigious honour conferred by the Alumni Association. Alumni Gallery Award recipients have led fascinating and accomplished lives and set high standards of achievement for McMaster’s current students, alumni and the greater community.
The Alumni Gallery Award nominations are due by September 1st.
Alumni Arch Award-Young Alumni Award
The Arch Award recognizes McMaster’s most recent graduates who have made significant and notable academic, professional or personal achievements.
The nominations for the Alumni Arch Award-Young Alumni Award are due by February 1st.
Honorary Member
Honorary membership in the Alumni Association may be granted to any person who is not otherwise a member of the Alumni Association for unusual contribution to the Association or the University.
The Honorary Member nominations are due by February 1st.
Distinguished Service Award
This is the highest volunteer award given by the McMaster Alumni Association. Recipients of the Distinguished Service Award have made outstanding contributions and shown extraordinary dedication to the Alumni Association.
The nominations for the Distinguished Service Award are due by February 1st.
Distinguished Alumni Award
The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes McMaster graduates who have attained a high level of distinction and achievement through scholarship, research, teaching, creative contributions and through service to society.
The Distinguished Alumni Award nominations are due by March 31st.
Albert Lager Prize for Student Initiative Award
This award recognizes current students who provide support, leadership and community involvement and service to their Faculty, Program, McMaster University, or to the community on behalf of McMaster University.
The nominations for the Albert Lager Prize for Student Initiative Awards are due by March 1st.
McMaster Alumni Hamilton Community Impact Award
The award recognizes outstanding contribution by McMaster graduates to the Hamilton community. The award will recognize individuals who have made a positive impact on the Hamilton community within the past three years, enhancing the quality of life while reflecting the values of McMaster – integrity, quality and teamwork.
