Event Overview

On September 20th, members of the McMaster and Hamilton community came together to celebrate the grand opening of the McMaster Teaching and Community Garden. The event was a showcase to delicious food and beverages prepared by Hospitality Services using locally-sourced ingredients, over 13 pieces of art displayed by local artists, outstanding musical performance by Jazz band Haolin Monk, as well as an engaging and inspirational speech by Dr. Patrick Deane.

The Office of Sustainability would like to thank all who helped in the planning and implementation of this event as well as all who attend the event and showed their support for the McMaster Teaching & Community Garden, and more broadly, for developing a culture of sustainability at McMaster and within our community.
