Bertrand Russell's Library

To search the McMaster Library catalogue for the books in Bertrand Russell's library, go to Morris. Perform a Subject Keyword(s) search using "russell library". If you don't use quotes, the first of the 2,421 matches will not be from Russell's library. The catalogue also has entries for the personal papers of several individuals who knew Russell well and whose papers are part of the Russell Archives. Search under Keyword(s) Anywhere for "russell archives fonds ". The Bertrand Russell Archives also have a strong supporting library. It may soon be possible to collectively identify these titles in the Morris catalogue.

For Russell's bound pamphlet collections and individual pamphlets—many of them bearing his incisive marginalia—inquire in the Ready Division.
