There is some amazing detective work taking place at McMaster University. Our researchers have a passion and a fascination for discovery. They are answering questions about our past and solving the problems of our future. They are the anthropologists unraveling the mysteries of ancient humans by extracting DNA from fossils; astronomers exploring the unknown realms of the universe; engineers developing better hearing devices; and biochemists investigating cures for cancer.

All of these talented researchers have their own detective stories to tell.

The Hamilton Spectator, in partnership with McMaster University, is sponsoring the Science in the City Lecture Series, an opportunity for the community to come out and hear what some of our fine minds are doing in engineering, science, health sciences, social sciences and humanities.
