HEADER TEXT

Come join us on Saturday April 16 for some “out - of - this world” fun!

It’s National Astronomy Day and McMaster University is hosting a special event for budding astronomers between the ages of 8 – 12 years old*.

We're going to be cooking up some comets with the help of a few lucky audience participants. Everyone will be making their own crater, have the opportunity to visit McMaster’s W.J. McCallion Planetarium and see our Solar Car, Fireball 2.

Science in the City for Kids begins at 1:00 pm in the McMaster University Student Centre (in the main floor Marketplace) and will end at approximately 4:30 pm.

The hands-on activities can be messy, so wear your grubbiest clothes or bring along your own coveralls, apron or lab coat.

*These activities are not appropriate for children under 8 years of age. We request that kids are accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event.

Special Thanks to the volunteers from the Hamilton Amateur Astronomers for their generous help with this event!
