The Faculty of Health Sciences is proud to be affiliated with two major academic hospital systems - Hamilton Health Sciences and St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton – as well as many community healthcare facilities and groups in the Hamilton region and beyond. The major teaching hospitals have 10 hospital sites in Hamilton, which provide our students and residents with facilities and numerous opportunities to practise their skills and further their education. Physician scientists of the Faculty provide clinical care to patients at area hospitals and health centres as they conduct groundbreaking initiatives in their work to advance treatment and health care.

St. Joseph's
Healthcare Hamilton (SJHH) is home to the world- renowned Firestone Institute for
Respiratory Health, the Centre for Minimal Access Surgery, and
the much respected Father Sean O'Sullivan Research Centre with
it's satellite organization the Centre for the Evaluation of Medicine.
The innovative Brain Body Institute is also located at SJHH.
