McMaster University hosted an International Forum on R&D: The Role of Research Intensive Universities September 12-13, attracting more than 200 particants from eleven countries.

Dr. Mo Elbestawi, Vice-President of Research and International Affairs, initiated the

International Revenue Generation Taskforce to identify broad based international activities
for the purpose of generating revenues for theUniversity and establishing McMaster as a world
class university for education, research and global outreach.

The Taskforce was further directed to identify specific actions that could be undertaken in the
short term to achieve these goals.to identify broad based international activities for the purpose

of generating revenues for the University and establishing McMaster as a world class university for education, research and global outreach. The report was submitted April 1, 2009 and can be read here
