His research group has recently broken ground in the optimum
design of signal transmitters and receivers in adverse environments.
Dr. Wong’s work has applications in a wide range of
signal processing systems, including wire-line, cellular and
satellite telephony and multi-carrier communications, radar
and antenna arrays, and target identification and tracking.
“Our goal is to develop high-performance, robust and
efficient signal processing algorithms for the advancement
of modern communications.”
Dr. Wong is one of more than 100 faculty members, researchers
and support staff in McMaster’s Communications Research
Laboratory for studies of adaptive and learning systems, antennas,
electromagnetics, optoelectronics, network and computer systems,
and signal processing.
