With
the advent of improved human-computer interaction via network mechanisms
for information dissemination directly to students normally enrolled
in large classes, GEL members are using WWW concepts and tools to
develop multimedia courseware suitable for large introductory Computer
Science classes and continuing education delivered via cable to the
local community. Collaborative research is under way to design and
implement a prototype extensible system for the generation of materials
to meet these objectives.
Geographical
Information Systems (GIS) is fast becoming one of the most powerful
