McMaster Times readers are university-educated, informed consumers between the ages of 21 and 80. The average number of readers per issue is 3.2, providing a potential market of more than 250,000 readers.
McMaster Times does not run liquor, tobacco advocacy advertising, real estate or non-McMaster fundraising ads. The advertising policy is reviewed annually. Revenues generated by the sale of ads is used to offset printing costs. A rate card, reviewed annually in January, is available online as a pdf.
General Policies
- Rights are reserved to add the words "advertisement" to any paid material
- Rights are reserved to classify, censor, revise or reject any advertisement
- No responsibility is assumed for errors in advertisements beyond amount charged for that portion of the advertisement in which the error occurred
- All advertising is subject to approval by the publisher
- Covers are non-cancellable
- Cancellation on inside pages requires minimum 30 days' notice before publication date
Terms of Payment
Net 30 days. Interest at a rate of 2% per month will be charged on overdue accounts.
