Experts available to discuss ongoing developments in economic downturn

McMaster University has a wide range of experts available to comment on many issues facing Canadians, as the economy falters and job losses mount.

  

Coping with the stress of job loss and a changing workplace

Teal McAteer, associate professor of human resources & management, is an expert on how individuals and companies can deal with job loss.  She consults with various organizations and is often called upon to provide individual counseling on career location to recently laid-off clients.  She can be reached at 905-525-9140, ext. 23999 or mcateer@mcmaster.ca .

Automotive industry faces uncertain future

 

Charlotte Yates, the dean of Social Sciences, is an expert on the auto sector and unions, particularly the Canadian Auto Workers.
