McMaster University (founded 1887)
, known for its high standard of excellence and a creative, innovative
approach to learning and research, is located in the city of Hamilton
in the beautiful province of Ontario, Canada. The campus is situated
in the west end of the city on approximately 300 acres of natural
parkland. The campus atmosphere is friendly, casual and cosmopolitan,
with many support facilities and groups assisting students with
their day-to-day needs and concerns. The University is home to students
from over 70 different countries.
McMaster University has six faculties:
Engineering, Business, Science, Health Sciences, Social Sciences
and Humanities. Through these faculties over 130 undergraduate and
over 65 graduate programs are offered.

UNIVERSITY
FAPESP (Sao
Paulo, Brazil) and McMaster University (Hamilton, Canada), share
mutual interest in promoting international scientific and scholarly
cooperation in all areas of knowledge.
The parties
agree to collaborate in joint calls for proposals, with the aim
of promoting and supporting research projects involving collaboration
between researchers working in public or private research or teaching
institutions in the State of São Paulo, Brazil and researchers
at McMaster University in the Province of Ontario, Canada.
This MOU records
the understanding of the parties with respect to their implementation
of the objectives outlined above, including the issuance of calls
for proposals, the review and selection of proposals for funding,
and providing funding for the selected proposals.
