McMaster is one of Canada's leading research universities, and one way of disseminating this research and innovation at McMaster is through the presentation of papers at conferences. This is a continuation of a programme that has been well received in previous years and it has been agreed to increase the maximum allocation from $500 to $650. A faculty or staff member may receive one such allocation in the period July 1, 2000 to June 30, 2001.Faculty
To receive such support, a faculty member must be on the CP/M scheme or a clinical faculty member participating in the McMaster Pension Plan during the 2000/01 year. "Presentation of papers at conferences" refers to anyone who is an author on a paper and includes invited discussants. Application forms may be obtained from your Department Chair or by clicking HERE.Upon receiving approval, the $650 will be credited to the faculty member's professional development allowance account.
Librarians
To receive such support, the staff member must make a formal presentation at a provincial, national or international conference of an organization that is appropriate to the employee's employment activity at McMaster. Application forms can be obtained from Chris Sylvester in the Office of Analysis and Budgeting (GH 306G, Ext. 24766, sylvest@mcmaster.ca) or by clicking HERE . The application form along with a copy of the conference agenda should be submitted to the head of their department for signature.
