YEAR 1: For the Period June 16, 2002 to June 15, 2003
YEAR 2: For the Period June 16, 2003 to June 15, 2004
- An Across-the-Board increase of 3.0% of the June 15, 2002 base salary of each librarian, effective June 16, 2002. This increase will not apply to salaries administered beyond the maximum of the salary range. The salary scales for librarians will be increased by 6.4% effective June 16, 2002 (see below).
- A Merit Pool of 2.21% of librarians’ base salaries, to be paid on June 16, 2002, to be distributed based on an assessment of the performance of position responsibilities and engagement in professional activities. This increase will not apply to salaries administered beyond the maximum of the salary range.
- A Lump Sum Payment of $200 will be added to base salary, effective June 16, 2002.
- Effective May 1, 2002, the LPDA will be increased by $179 to a total of $900 per year. This increase includes the folding-in to the LPDA of the former modem pool funding.
- Benefits. Amendments to the faculty dental plan will also apply to librarians.
- Bereavement Leave Policy. A new policy will provide for paid bereavement leave as follows: for immediate family, five consecutive working days; for extended family, three consecutive working days; and if extensive travel is required, a further two days with the approval of the supervisor.
YEAR 3: For the Period June 16, 2004 to June 15, 2005
- An Across-the-Board increase of 3.0% of the June 15, 2003 base salary of each librarian, effective June 16, 2003. This increase will not apply to salaries administered beyond the maximum of the salary range. The salary scales for librarians will be increased by 3.0% effective June 16, 2003 (see below)
- A Merit Pool of a percentage of librarians’ base salaries, to be paid on June 16, 2003, to be distributed based on an assessment of the performance of position responsibilities and engagement in professional activities. The value of the merit pool will be calculated in accordance with the Librarians’ Negotiating Committee protocol (June 7, 2001) [see note]. This increase will not apply to salaries administered beyond the maximum of the salary range.
- A Lump Sum Payment of $200 will be added to base salary, effective June 16, 2003.
- Effective May 1, 2003, the LPDA will be increased by $50 to a total of $950 per year.
- An Across-the-Board increase of 3.0% of the June 15, 2004 base salary of each librarian effective June 16, 2004. This increase will not apply to salaries administered beyond the maximum of the salary range. The salary scales for librarians will be increased by 3.0% effective June 16, 2004 (see below).
