Employee & Family Assistance Programme (EFAP)
McMaster’s Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) has been designed to assist staff, faculty and their families with simple “How to...?” Advice or confidential counselling. Information can be accessed through handy fact sheets, self-directed web based resources or by calling the University’s provider directly.EFAP has been designed to provide immediate assistance in times of crisis; provide support through life stage transitions (e.g., marriage, birth, career change, blended family challenges, bereavement, or planning retirement); help tackle everyday life issues to prevent problems from becoming overwhelming; provide support and advice for achieving health goals and help attain new heights of well-being; help with depressing, anxiety, fear, substance abuse, or existing personal health issues.The EFAP provides you with access to confidential counselling services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at no cost. Practical online resources for improving health and well-being offer you the choice of learning at your own pace and on your own schedule.The University provider is Human Solutions.
