MAPS' Video Conference Service (VCS), powered by Fuze.com, provides MAPS with low cost, cloud-based video and audio conference services - available free to our members. VCS need to be scheduled in advance and is subject to availability.

There are two ways you can use the Video Conference Service:

1. Use the MAPS meeting room as your meeting hub.

Our meeting room can comfortably seat 5-6 people and is now equiped with an integrated video conference camera and table top audio bridge. Once the video conference is enabled, you can have up to 12 HD video streams operating at the same time as well as audio participants.

External participants just need to download and install a small app from Fuze.com to enable video conference capabiltities (otherwise they will join by audio conference only).

2. Use our virtual meeting room.

MAPS also has a virtual meeting room that can be accessed by members from any location. If you have a phone or computer that can use Skype, you can use our Fuze.com virtual meeting room. With the video conference enabled, you can have up to 12 HD video streams operating at the same time as well as audio participants.

The online membership transfer system developed by MAPS, the MSU, and representatives from Student Accounts and Cashiers, Student Accessibility Services, and the Registrar's office resulted in significant improvements in processing time for membership transfers. Stakeholders will be reviewing the results over the next few months to see if further improvements can be made.
