2015 Recipients

MAPS Awards Program

MAPS recognizes and promotes academic excellence through its awards program; designed specifically for part-time students.

The Centennial Awards recognize two MAPS members who overcame significate personal barriers to attend McMaster, or who have made a significant contribution to the university (or their own community) while at McMaster.

Community Awards allows the Association to recognize the work of community members to support, enhance or improve the part-time educational experience. The awards program also recognizes and helps promote excellence in teaching at the Centre for Continuing Education, and sponsors several academic awards.

Our Annual Awards Dinner honours the recipients of these awards by recognizing their achievement and contribution to McMaster.

This year the awards dinner is being held on at 6pm on November 26 at CIBC Hall in the Student Centre.

The deadline to submit MAPS award applications or nominations is October 15th

The online membership transfer system developed by MAPS, the MSU, and representatives from Student Accounts and Cashiers, Student Accessibility Services, and the Registrar's office resulted in significant improvements in processing time for membership transfers. Stakeholders will be reviewing the results over the next few months to see if further improvements can be made.
