Considering Indigenous Studies at McMaster?
The Indigenous Studies Program offers a well established and highly respected field of study as it pertains to Indigenous peoples. This program will provide students the opportunity to gain a valuable and unique perspective on Indigenous issues from an Indigenous perspective. The combined B.A. program means that students have the option of exploring another discipline in either Faculty of Humanities or Faculty of Social Sciences, such as English, History, Anthropology or Sociology, while gaining in-depth knowledge of Indigenous people.

Indigenous Studies offers a great place to meet up with fellow students. The student lounge is where Indigenous students will find information as it relates to upcoming events such as fund raising, meetings, and socials. This is also a great place to meet other students.

We are proud to offer much of our course content from Indigenous people. This unique element will enable students to learn about Indigenous issues from Indigenous people with an Indigenous perspective.
