Dr. Cantera  Welcome to the INABIS conference. I hope you and your colleagues will enjoy this unique experience.
As an orthopaedic surgeon I was intrigued by the technique used to mobilize the TMJ in your two patients. Interpositional arthoplasty has a long history in Orthopaedics although it has been superceded in large joints by artifical joint replacement - a highly specialized form of interposition! What was the standard treatment for this type of problem prior to the development of your technique and what sort of success did it have? In other words, why did you feel the need to develop this technique?
