Dr. Smythies: I thoroughly enjoyed your lucid review of the role of o-semiquinones in CNS diseases. Can dopamine-derived o-semiquinones/quinones generated intracellularly, for example in astrocytes, cross cell membranes to the extracellular space? If there is any evidence for this, could you direct me to the relevant literature? Thanks.
