Dr. Al-Lamki: Hope you are enjoying the meeting. Great poster.You indicate that these cells could represent the end-stage of interstitial trophoblast cell differentiation and may be programmed to die. A proportion of the type II cells show fine morphology reminiscent of apoptosis. Has anyone looked at any of the markers for apoptosis? If not, what is it about these cells which is reminiscent of apoptosis?
