You have made a commitment to McMaster by assisting a student in need, supporting research discoveries, or a place that matters to you. We invite you to be part of an exclusive group of McMaster’s most committed donors, The President's Club.

The President’s Club

The President's Club, founded in 1980, is a special recognition society for alumni and friends to maintain an ongoing relationship with McMaster University. Membership is granted to individuals who make a minimum donation of $500 a year. In 2009, the President’s Club consisted of over 1,000 members. The President’s Club signifies a proud tradition of leadership and generosity and a shared commitment to excellence in McMaster’s scholarship, research and teaching.

The Club has a committee of volunteers who assist the University in its efforts to grow the membershjp and thank our donors. If you are interested in joining the group, please email Karen McQuigge, Director, Alumni Advancement.

The Gilmour Society

Named in honour of George Peel Gilmour, President of our University for two decades, the Gilmour Society recognizes individuals who make a gift of any amount for three consecutive years and longer.

Gilmour Society members enjoy many of the same benefits as President's Club members, as well as the McMaster Landmark magnet series, an annual gift to members of the Gilmour Society.

Recognition for Your Future Gift

The President's Club also honours those alumni and friends who have chosen to support McMaster University through charitable bequests, life insurance, charitable gift annuities, or other future arrangements.
