McMaster has a proud track record of innovation in teaching and learning in its 125 year history; from the introduction of problem based learning in the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine, to the establishment of the unique Arts & Science Program, to the founding of the Experiential Learning Office in the Faculty of Social Sciences. McMaster is entering an exciting new phase of its evolution as a teaching institution, with a renewed focus on experiential education.

I have included below a sampling of experiential learning activities and stories from students who have benefited from and contributed to our University's culture of community-connected learning. I am excited to share these stories with you and I hope they will inspire you to make a gift to the President's Fund, a fund that McMaster's President Patrick Deane will use this year to test new experiential and community-connected opportunities for students.

Thank you for considering a gift. Enjoy the great stories!

Yours sincerely,
