When will I get my tax receipt?
That depends on the method of gift and what type of gift you made:
- One time gift by cheque: please allow 15 business days for arrival.
- One time gift by credit card online: Immediate if you give to a listed allocation, a week if not.
- Monthly, quarterly, semi-annually credit card gifts or pledge payments: one annual tax receipt in February after current year end.

Other options for assisting our outstanding students
Donors may elect to contribute to one of many existing scholarship and bursary funds at McMaster. Gifts of all amounts are appreciated and collectively, provide much needed financial assistance to deserving students. McMaster also welcomes gifts of securities, which can be allocated to student support. Other opportunities for supporting McMaster students include travel awards and exchange scholarships.
