My name is Rosalind Morton, and I’m in Sociology. I’ve been very satisfied with my instructors, they’ve been really helpful. Probably one of my favourites, last year I had a Social Work prof, Sandra Preston, she's great, I really liked her. Because of sociology, I do see some things in a different perspective. When I got the bursary, it just kind of seemed unreal that I was getting that much money for being a student. So, it’s really, really helpful, and I want to thank the donors.
I’m on the McMaster Equestrian team. The bursaryreally helps with that because, financially, it’s not too expensive, but there are some costs that go along with it. I am able to participate, and the bursary definitely helps with that. It’s important because tuition is really expensive and students just coming out of high school, they don’t have this kind of money. A lot of students like me, I don’t get support from my parents, so I do need support from other people. There’s a lot of stress added with school work and lots of other things financially, but I don’t have to worry about that because I’ve got the bursary. I don’t have to worry about money, which is a big help, it takes a lot of stress off me.
