Kyle Stafford

I’m Kyle Stafford, I’m a Humanities student, I’m a Classic’s major.

McMaster obviously has a great reputation, you know first and foremost, and it’s a great school. And I’m also a local Hamiltonian as well too, so the trip was you know obviously a little easier for me to make so. There are a lot of great things that come with McMaster’s package. It’s just great to see that we have all these facilities and opportunities that students have you know just like me, and you know it’s really great to see that we have that sort of support from people who don’t even know us personally, right? So, it’s awesome to see that we have people like that helping the students out in any way possible.

It is satisfying to know I have an entrance scholarship, then you have a little more freedom as far as finances go. I used to play in a band as well too, so it allowed me a lot more time just for things like that. Some more free time more or less than anything else, which is obviously nice to have when you are dealing with a stressful environment like school.

My favourite moment would probably be when you’re in your first year, just seeing all the people in your residence and in your first classes and everything, that as well too. The overall shock of first year is probably the most interesting and unique part of university.

It really just prepares you for the future more than anything else. I feel like I have a lot more experience and I’m ready for the real world. I’d say I’d thank them a lot for the opportunity that they gave me as well too, it just helped me you know make that step toward McMaster a little easier. Obviously thank you is the only thing you can say, and you can’t say it enough.
