My name is Jessica and I am in Engineering. I applied online exclusively for engineering, then I sent in my application and got a call from the Faculty about a scholarship. I was actually going to go to another University before hearing about the scholarship; it really made a difference.
My scholarship gave me more time to participate in activities that I wouldn’t have had time to enjoy otherwise. I was planning on working a part time job so the scholarship really helped. Right now I am competing as a varsity athlete with the badminton team. It is a big commitment: we train four nights a week and have tournaments every weekend.
McMaster is a great University and I really like it here; the campus is really nice. Once I establish my career I will definitely support other people. Definitely, I know that for me it has made a huge difference. I'd like to say a huge thank you, because my scholarship makes a difference and it feels so nice that I don’t have to worry about paying for my education. It feels nice that someone’s supporting me.
