Positive Space Program

The Positive Space Program at McMaster University increases the visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer (LBGTQ) staff, student and faculty members on campus.  Positive Space provides a way for interested campus members to become involved in creating a more supportive and inclusive environment for LTBTQ members on campus and in the broader community.

Participation in Positive Space is completely voluntary and is open to all staff, students and faculty members at McMaster University.

Positive Space Providers have participated in a two-hour training session and have made a commitment to post either a Positive Space sticker or a poster in their work, study or living space.

Students who want to support the LGBTQ community but who do not want to become Positive Space Providers can check out the Ally Program offered through the McMaster Student Union’s Queer Student Community Centre.
