Secure Password Authentication is turned off by default. If turned on and you are unable to connect to MUSS or UnivMail, follow the steps below to disable Secure Password Authentication.

Open Outlook.

Click on Tools in the Menu bar.

Select Email Accounts.

Click on Next to View or change existing email accounts.

Select your mail server (MUSS/UnivMail) and click on Change.

Uncheck Logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA).

Click on Next and click on Finish.

Close Outlook.
