Secure Authentication is turned off by default. If turned on and you are unable to connect to MUSS or UnivMail, follow the steps below to disable Secure Authentication.

 

Open Netscape

Click on Window on the menu bar. Select Mail & Newsgroups.

Click on Edit from the Menu bar and select Mail & Newsgroup settings.

Click on Server Settings and uncheck Use Secure Authentication.

Click on OK.

Close Netscape.
