Setting up a printer for use with Degree Audit
Step 1. HummingBird Connectivity version 10 is installed on the computer.
(Start -> All Programs -> HummingBird Connectivity 10)

Step 2.
InetD is running is running as a service on the user's computer.
(Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services)

If Inetd is not running as a service, use the following instructions.
Open HummingBird InetD
(Start -> All Programs -> HummingBird Connectivity 10 -> Administrative Tools -> HummingBird InetD)
Select Lpd and click on Enable. Click on Close.

Step 3.
The printer is installed as the default and working.
(Start -> Control Panel -> Printers and faxes)
Step 4. Select the default printer and rename Text. Right click and select Properties.

You must configure the Port Protocol to RAW. Click on OK and exit the Printer setting window.

Step 5.
The user's account on the IBM has to be configured to send print jobs to their computer's IP address. This can be done using the "LPRSET" from within the IBM session.
Connect and logon to MCMMVS1 using HummingBird Host Explorer Type in LPRSET. If the printer is physically attached to a computer, enter that computer IP Address. If the printer is a network printer, enter the network printer IP Address. Exit Host Explorer.
