Requirements to view Online Demonstrations

  • These demos are best viewed with Internet Explorer version 6
  • You must have Macromedia Flash Player installed. You can get it here: Get Flash icon 
  • Disable popup blockers for these demonstrations.
  • Disable Active Content blocking for these demos).

 

Yellow "Information" Box in Internet Explorer

When you open the On-line Tutorial in Internet Explorer, you may see a yellow box under the address bar like this:

This is a security feature of Internet Explorer that prevents active content from running. It may be accompanied by an information window like this:

You can click OK to acknowledge the information box, then click on the yellow information bar and choose Allow Blocked Content... to let the content run this time. (Click Yes in the Security Warning box, too.)

Possible error from Macromedia Flash Player

You may receive this error when using the controls for the tutorials:

Dialog: Flash has stopped a potentially unsafe operation

This is a security feature from the Flash Player that stops all communication between the Flash movie and the web browser viewing it. To avoid this:

  • Click on Settings.... The Flash Help file will open along with the settings control page.
  • Enable the movie actions from there.
