Configuring VeriSign Root Certificate
In Netscape 7.x

You may have to reconfigure a Root Certificate if Netscape is reinstalled, upgraded or other system changes occur on your computer.

Open Netscape 7.x Navigator or Mail & Newsgroup.

Click on Edit in the menu bar.

Select Preferences.

Click on Privacy & Security.

Select Certificates.

Click on Manage Certificates.

In the Certificate Manager window, select the tab called Authorities.

Scroll down and under Verisign Inc, select Verisign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority.

Click on View.

Check under Issued To that the Verisign certificate Serial Number is

70:BA:E4:1D:10:D9:29:34:B6:38:CA:7B:03:CC:BA:BF

Validity
Issued On 1/28/1996
Expires On 8/1/2028

Click on Close.

If the certificate has the same serial number, click on Edit.

Place a check mark in each box to identify web sites, mail users and software makers.

Click on Ok.

Click on Ok or the to close the Certificate Manager window

Click on Ok to close Preferences window.
