Corporate Calendar and Daylight Saving Time

The Oracle Daylight Saving Time change for Corporate Calendar was applied on Saturday March 3, 2007. Corporate Calendar calculates time

Please note that meeting times created before the Daylight Saving Time patches were applied will show an hour later between March 11, 2007 and April 1, 2007. The same time change will apply to DST period between October 28, 2007 and November 4, 2007. This is because Oracle Calendar calculates and stores event date and time based on Greenwich Mean Time.

As with other scheduling tools during the Daylight Saving Time period, please follow the steps below to reduce the probability of a mishap:

Step 1 - Windows Operating System

Windows XP Professional
Use Windows Update to get the DST patch. If you are unsure whether or not the patch was loaded automatically please download Microsoft Patch from here=> http://support.microsoft.com/gp/dst_hu2?systemlist=w18

Windows 2000 Professional
Microsoft no longer fully supports Windows 2000. You have to manually update your computer using the tzedit.exe utility or other techniques documented in Knowledge Base article 914387.

Step 2 - BlackBerry
If you have a BlackBerry see http://www.blackberry.com/select/dst2007/resolutions/internetservice/ for the Daylight Saving Time options.

Option 1 Apply the Daylight Saving Time patch to your BlackBerry

Option 2 Manually change the time in Options-Date/Time

• Move the time forward 1 hour on 11 March 2007, and then back 1 hour on 1 April 2007
• Move the time forward 1 hour on 28 October 2007, and then back 1 hour on 4 November 2007

Step 3 - Palm
If you have a Palm device see http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/dst.html for Daylight Saving Time update information.

Palm users should use a Full synchronization during the new Daylight Saving Time period to ensure the correct information is transferred to their Palm device.

Step 4 - Modify meeting times
You may have to manually adjust meeting times created before the Daylight Saving Time patches were applied.

March 11, 2007 - April 1, 2007
October 28, 2007 -  November 4, 2007
