Martin Waxman, APR
Senior Counsellor, Thornley Fallis Communications (Toronto, Ontario) Teaches: Building Social Media Relationships

Martin has worked in communications and PR for 25 years, and specializes in social media, consumer marketing, product launches, corporate and internal communications, b2b and entertainment. Martin leads a social media consultancy and works as a senior counsellor with Thornley Fallis Communications in Toronto. Previously, he was a founding partner of energi PR and Palette PR. He writes a blog, my(PR)palette, is one of the hosts of the Inside PR podcast and can be found on Twitter@martinwaxman.

He’s the past president of the CPRS Toronto board of directors and is a member of the PRSA Counselors Academy executive committee and the Humber School of Comedy advisory board. Martin has published two books of fiction, been a standup comedy MC, film and TV writer and freelance journalist. He received an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in film, television and theatre from York University in Toronto.

Mark Gregory
Managing Partner, Locomotion Communications and Public Relations Ltd. (Burlington, Ontario)

Mark has over 25 years of experience as a senior communications strategist and practitioner in both the private and public sectors. Leading PR teams large and small, he has conceived and executed complex strategies and plans in the public and private sectors including managing issues for a large health region with 12 hospitals, as general manager, public affairs for one of Canada's 'big cities', and as communications director for six different provincial government departments. Prior to starting Locomotion Communications in 2008, Mark served as Vice President, Marketing and Communications, for IsaiX Technologies for seven years.

Mark is the Past Chair of the Burlington Economic Development Corporation, an Executive Board member of Tourism Burlington, and a Board-member with the Golden Horseshoe Chapter of IABC (International Association of Business Communicators) and a CPRS Hamilton (Canadian Public Relations Society) mentor.

Donna Kell, APR
Public Affairs Manager, City of Burlington, (Burlington, Ontario)
Teaches: Public Relations Writing

Donna Kell is an accredited public relations practitioner who specializes in communications for government.  A former print journalist, Donna has worked in both an agency setting and in the private sector. Donna is an award-winning communicator who is active in the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS).   Donna holds a Certificate in Public Relations from Ryerson University, a Diploma in Print Journalism from Sheridan Institute and a Bachelor of Arts, English from the University of Toronto.

Heather Pullen, APR
Manager of the Public Relations & Communications, Hamilton Health Sciences (Hamilton, Ontario)
Teaches: Issue and Crisis Communication

Heather plays a key role in developing and executing multi-faceted communication programs related to activities and services at five hospitals and a cancer centre, all located in Hamilton, Ontario. A graduate of Carleton University, Heather has a degree in journalism and political science.  Over the years she has won numerous awards from local and national public relations associations. She is also one of the chapter authors of a textbook on health public relations, “Don’t Shoot the Messenger: A Guide for Effective Health Care Communications” published by the Canadian Hospital Association Press.

Susan Quinn Mullins
Principal, Quinn Mullin and Associates
Teaches:  Public Relations Planning and Management.  Measurement and Evaluation in Public Relations

Susan helps clients build and maintain positive reputations, assisting them in developing focused and meaningful communications around new and existing programs.  She is also a senior advisor with Reputation Institute and is a member of the Canadian team.  Susan has over 20 years communications and marketing experience in a variety of senior roles within the pharmaceutical, specialty chemical, consumer packaged goods and health care industries.  She has won numerous communications awards and serves on the Board of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Golden Horseshoe Chapter.
