Get a firm grasp on this spreadsheet package and learn about the shortcuts and tools that are available. This session explores basic Excel functions such as working with the Office Assistant, copying and moving data, navigating workbooks, working with ranges, special paste functions, formatting cells, and customizing Excel's preferences. Also covered in this session are tips on printing spreadsheets and customizing the page setup.
Excel 2010 II Formulas CCE-572
Learn to use the power of Formula in a spreadsheet. Participants will explore the use of simple formula and how to access Excel's extensive list of formula functions. Explore the difference between “relative” and “absolute” formula & how to develop formula across worksheets. This session will also introduce more advanced formula features, such as using conditional “IF and “Then” statements within a formula.
Excel 2010 III Charts CCE-573
Use Charts to dramatically illustrate trends, compare sales and highlight changes. Learn how to create charts that give a pictorial representation of your data, and how to modify the objects in a chart. Customize your chart with special effects, drawing objects and graphics. Printing charts separately or with the spreadsheet will also be shown.

Excel can be a powerful tool for storing and manipulating data from contact information to schedules and more. This session focuses on how to effectively organize, filter and sort your data.
Excel 2010 V Macro Introduction CCE-575
This workshop introduces the user to Macros and shows how to automate repetitive tasks. Participants will learn how to record and run macros, and modify macros through the Visual Basic Editor window. Students will also learn how to create and add macro buttons onto a customized toolbar.
Excel 2010 VI Pivot Tables CCE-576
Learn about the power of Pivot Tables to help you re-arrange large amounts of data into different views so you can make sense of the information you have. Using the Pivot Table Wizard, we will learn how to drag and drop current data to show comparisons, analyze data, and determine patterns/trends.
Workshop Prerequisites: Participants should be proficient in using a keyboard and a mouse, and should possess familiarity with a Windows operating system (e.g. folders, files, opening and saving documents, etc.).
The Centre for Continuing Education's computer labs utilize Windows 7 operating system.
