Oracle Calendar CCE-264  

(McMaster Faculty and Staff only) For those needing to schedule meetings within the University, this session will show you how to use this scheduling tool effectively to record meetings, appointments, events and tasks. Learn how to create Scheduling Groups, check the availability of a group, and create a repeating meeting. Find out how to change calendar Preferences, set Access Rights, search your agenda, and print your calendar. Note: Participant is responsible for setting up their own Oracle Calendar account with U.T.S. prior to the class.

SPSS WORKSHOPS

SPSS workshops are intended for current users of the software.  This is not appropriate for individuals who “may” use SPSS in the future.  Learning must be immediately applied.

SPSS 1: Basic Concepts CCE-343 Agenda
This workshop is intended for novice users and provides an overview of SPSS for Windows. The focus is on learning and mastering basic concepts. The workshop will introduce SPSS Data Editor; reading/importing data into SPSS from prevailing file types (text files, spreadsheets, MS Access, SPSS system/portable files), saving data files, defining variable attributes, data transformations (and computing with date and string values), data filtering/sub-setting, aggregating, combining SPSS system files, and SPSS Command Syntax.  Version 19.
Prerequisites: Good working experience with Windows (managing files and folders, opening and saving files, etc.). Familiarity with elementary statistics methods is recommended.

SPSS 2: Procedures for Simple Analysis CCE-346 Agenda
This workshop will focus on simple data analysis procedures, reports, creating and editing graphs/charts, and computing percentages and statistics for published tables.  Version 19.
Prerequisites: SPSS 1: Basic Concepts (CCE-343) or experience with SPSS and an understanding of elementary statistics.



Workshop Prerequisites:  Participants should be proficient in using a keyboard and a mouse, and should possess familiarity with a Windows operating system (e.g. folders, files, opening and saving documents, etc.).
