
PowerPoint sessions are sequentially grouped to show the order in which they may be taken. More experienced participants may opt to skip introductory sessions and focus on a particular workshop topic. Participants who are new users of a particular software application should always begin with the introductory session and progress through the sequenced workshops.

Learn how to create new presentations, add new slides, and change the viewing options that are available. Basic editing and formatting features will be looked at along with the creation of bulleted lists, tables, graphics, charts and WordArt. Discover how to change a slides layout & design, and learn how to run a slide show presentation.
PowerPoint 2010 II Customizing CCE-565
Expand on the features learned in the introductory workshop and explore how to change default settings through the Slide Master, Notes Master, and Handout Master. Bring your presentation to life through the use of slide transitions and animation, and learn tips on how to customize the animation and timing of text and objects. Learn how to add annotation during a presentation, get tips on saving a presentation, and find out what printing options are available.
PowerPoint 2010 III: Narration, Sound & Video CCE-583
Take advantage of PowerPoint’s built in features to narrate a slide presentation or imbed sound and video files. During this workshop, participants will experiment with these features to enhance and liven an otherwise ordinary text-based presentation. This workshop will help you prepare presentations to be used for sharing via the web, CD or DVD.
Workshop Prerequisites: Participants should be proficient in using a keyboard and a mouse, and should possess familiarity with a Windows operating system (e.g. folders, files, opening and saving documents, etc.).
The Centre for Continuing Education's computer labs utilize Windows 7 operating system.
