If you've been responsible for creating documents using design software, you have probably needed to share those documents with others. In this course, you'll use Adobe Acrobat to convert documents to PDF and will customize those PDF documents for interactive online use as well as for commercial printing.
Adobe Illustrator CCE-601
Adobe Illustrator is a sophisticated vector graphics editor capable of creating stylish illustrations with unique type effects. Illustrator has long been the workhorse of graphic design and its robust features enable you to create everything from flyers, invitations and letterheads to multi-page advertising brochures. Participants will tackle traditional logo design on day one, using basic vector drawing tools and specialized text effects. Day two focuses on creating more complex illustrations for use in both commercial printing and web design.
Adobe InDesign CCE-603
Students will be exposed to introductory production exercises within InDesign. Students will learn the basic elements of desktop publishing including principles of layout design, pagination and document templates.
Adobe Photoshop CCE-600
Learn to use several tools for selecting parts of images, as well as moving, duplicating, and resizing images. You will learn to use layers, and to apply layer effects and filters to create special effects, including lighting and texture effects. Participants will leave this workshop with a firm grasp of Photoshop concepts that are applicable to almost every facet of using the application, including Web design, preparing photographic images for printing and illustration.
Workshop Prerequisites: Participants should be proficient in using a keyboard and a mouse, and should possess familiarity with a Windows operating system (e.g. folders, files, opening and saving documents, etc.).
CCE’s computer labs utilize Windows 7 operating system.
