
Accounting Program Admission Requirements
Accounting Diploma
To be admitted to the Accounting Diploma, applicants must have:
- an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent;
- be a mature student as defined in the Undergraduate Calendar of McMaster University; or
- be deemed an exceptional case.
English Language Proficiency Requirements

Advanced Certificate in Accounting
The Advanced Certificate in Accounting is open to individuals with post-secondary education who have completed foundation/core-level accounting courses.
Note: Graduates of the Diploma in Accounting are not eligible for the Certificate in Advanced Accounting.

The McMaster Accounting Diploma and the McMaster Certificate in Advanced Accounting prepare aspiring accountants or other finance professionals for an accounting career in Canada or a Canadian accounting designation such as a CGA, CPA or CMA. This program is offered in-class and online.
