Welcome!
This year, McMaster University celebrates its 125th anniversary. McMaster's history of continuing education is one of the oldest in Canada, going back to 1931, just a year after the University came to Hamilton. Through the years, the continuing education programs have changed to keep pace with changing workplaces, but our commitment to helping our students excel in their professional and educational goals has remained constant.
Our university-level academic and professional development programs take the schedules, experiences and learning styles of busy professionals into account. It is this dedication to helping our learners get the most out of their continuing education experience that earned us a Reader's Choice Award for Adult Education Provider from the Hamilton Spectator again this year.
This term, we are proud to announce two new online diploma programs related to health care and information management that have been designed in consultation with the sector's leading professional associations. The Health Information Management Diploma and the Health Informatics Diploma will prepare Canadian and international health care professionals for new career pathways, support people with a computer science background working in or planning to enter the health sector, and provide new alternatives for active health information management and health informatics professionals seeking to upgrade their education.
Professional accreditations are becoming a career necessity. McMaster supports you in pursuing this goal by ensuring that our courses are recognized by the relevant professional associations.
