Biosafety Awareness training is designed to give students the information they need to conduct themselves accordingly in a laboratory containing biological materials. Students requiring HTHSCI 1BS0 must take this course.
Avenue To Learn
Biosafety Awareness is delivered via Avenue To Learn at McMaster at http://avenue.mcmaster.ca
You require your MacID and password which are the login and password used for your mcmaster.ca email account.
If you do not have the course on your Avenue desktop you must contact your course coordinator. We currently do not have the ability to add you to the course list.
The course consists of a PDF file that you will download and read, then do an online quiz which is automatically marked when you finish. Based on a 75% grade or better to pass, you will be given either a complete or not complete designation. If you have failed your first attempt, not to worry, just review the material and attempt the quiz again. Once completed, the course will appear on your transcript as "passed".
