Transportation Standards

The final proposed Accessible Transportation Standard was submitted to the Minister of Community and Social Services for consideration as law in the Fall of 2008. It was created by a committee made up of people from the business community and persons with disabilities, and released for public review in 2007.

This standard is the only one that is sector specific - so it relates specifically to modes of transportation that fall under the jurisdiction of the local government.
