Customer Service Standards
A requirement of the Customer Service Standard is that McMaster train all employees (faculty and staff) in addition to student leaders and volunteers. A summary of the training content is provided below.

Lesson 2 - Communicating & Interacting with Customers with Disabilities
- Understanding who are your customers
- Understanding different kinds of disabilities
- What you need to consider when interacting and communicating with persons with disabilities, and
- Scenarios to assist you in the classroom, the office and campus facilities when interacting with customers
Lesson 3 - Serving Customers with Disabilities
- Customers with service animals
- Customers with support persons
- Customers using personal assistive devices
- Assistive devices McMaster University provides
- What to do if someone with a disability is having difficulties accessing services or goods at McMaster University
